Vehicle records that cannot be forged.
Others supply a digital form with a signature — a PDF that can be changed afterwards. Comcentra Logs secures every record with three interlocking security modules. The result: evidence that holds up with customers, insurers and in a dispute.
Each module closes exactly the gap where common handover apps fail — from taking the photo through immutable sealing to independent verification. Together they form an unbroken chain of evidence.
Module 1 · sealing
In one sentence: like a wax seal on a letter — once closed, any later opening is immediately visible.
When a record is completed, Comcentra Logs calculates a single digital fingerprint (a “hash”) from the entire content — every photo, every odometer reading, every damage marking, every signature. That fingerprint works like a wax seal on a letter: as long as it is intact, it proves that no one has opened and altered the content. Each new record is also chained to the previous one — an unbroken chain per vehicle.
An ordinary PDF or photo can be edited afterwards on a computer — change a date, retouch a scratch away. With a sealed record that is impossible: the smallest change produces a completely different fingerprint, and the seal breaks visibly.
In a dispute over damage it is no longer one person's word against another's. The documented condition cannot be argued away — which saves expensive discussions and protects against unjustified claims.
Module 2 · public anchoring · Bitcoin
In one sentence: like an entry in a public land register — except that here the Bitcoin blockchain makes sure no one can change it again.
You might ask: “And what if Comcentra Logs itself changes something?” That is exactly what this module rules out. At regular intervals all seals are combined into a single check value and entered into a public register. That check value is additionally anchored in the Bitcoin blockchain — the best-known immutable public register in the world. Once something is in Bitcoin, no one can change or backdate it — not even us. Every record carries a QR code: one scan opens the verification portal, and the checker's device recomputes in the browser that this very record is contained in it.
Other providers say “trust us, the document is genuine”. That is often not enough when it is challenged. With Comcentra Logs, authenticity is proven mathematically and can be verified independently of us.
Even if Comcentra Logs no longer existed one day, every record would remain verifiable. We cannot change anything unnoticed either — the strongest argument for trust with customers, insurers and anyone who has to assess the evidence.
Module 3 · Certified Capture
In one sentence: like a photo with the place and time stamped firmly onto it, sealed and put straight into the safe.
Photos are taken exclusively live with the camera in the app — uploading from the gallery is not possible. At the moment of capture, place (GPS), time and device are firmly linked to the image and sealed with it. Every image is therefore inseparably bound to that moment and that vehicle.
The biggest weak point of any photo-based handover system: “Is the photo genuine at all — or an old one, someone else's, an edited one?” Certified Capture closes that gap at the source.
No substituted or manipulated photo. What appears in the record was demonstrably taken at exactly that place, at that time, with that device.
The photos in our records are secured with VeraCapt: every image is bound to time, place and device at the moment it is taken, and sealed immutably. The underlying method has been filed for a patent with the European Patent Office since 23 September 2026.
Every record PDF carries a QR code. Scanning it opens the verification portal — and your own device confirms within seconds that the record is genuine and unchanged.
Because verification is mathematical and works independently of us, a Comcentra Logs record also holds up in front of third parties. A common “digital form with a signature” cannot do that — a PDF can be changed afterwards, a sealed and publicly anchored record cannot.
