2. General information on data processing

We process personal data only to the extent necessary to provide a functioning website and our content and services. As a rule, processing takes place only with consent or where a statutory basis permits it (Art. 6 GDPR).

3. Hosting and server log files

This website runs on a server in Germany. Every time it is accessed, data is automatically collected in server log files: among other things the IP address, date and time, the page requested, browser and operating system. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure, error-free operation (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). The log files are deleted after a short time unless they are needed to investigate misuse.

4. Cookies and tracking

This website sets no tracking or analytics cookies and embeds no external analytics services.

5. Getting in touch

If you contact us by e-mail or via the contact form, we process your details in order to handle the enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or (f) (legitimate interest). The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required.

6. User account and registration

You can create a user account to use the products you have booked. In doing so we process the details provided (in particular name, company, role/position, e-mail and access credentials) in order to set up and manage the account and to get in touch. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) and performance of the contract ((b)). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, for example by e-mail to info@comcentra.de. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out up to the withdrawal.

7. Processing on our behalf / recipients

To provide the website we use service providers (e.g. hosting) on the basis of a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). No transfer to third countries takes place.

8. Retention period

We store personal data only for as long as is necessary for the respective purposes or as statutory retention periods require.

9. Location data in the app

When a record is completed in the app, the current GPS position (latitude/longitude, accuracy, time) can be captured — provided you grant your device's location permission — and stored as part of the tamper-evident document. The purpose is to make it traceable where the evidence record was created. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), which you can refuse at any time by declining the location permission; the record remains valid without a location. The position is included in the cryptographic content hash and therefore cannot be changed afterwards without it being noticed.

10. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

access (Art. 15)
rectification (Art. 16)
erasure (Art. 17)
restriction of processing (Art. 18)
data portability (Art. 20)
object (Art. 21)
withdraw consent with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3))

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The competent authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW), Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany.

11. Contact for data protection matters

If you have questions about data protection, you can reach us at info@comcentra.de.

As at 2026. This privacy policy will be adapted if the legal situation or our processes change.
